Sinus vein thrombosis Significantly more common after Vaxzevria
The risk of cerebral sinus and cerebral vein thrombosis after vaccination with AstraZeneca’s Vaxzevria vaccine is apparently nine times higher than after vaccination with the mRNA vaccines. This is the result of a new study by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurologie (DGN) society of neurology, which has been published as a Preprint. The rate among women is more than three times higher than among men. According to the DGN, it is striking that this does not only affect younger women, but also older women as well. The DGN recommends that people of all ages, especially women, be fully informed about the risks.
